Performer-RPM camshaft #2210 is designed for optimum torque from the low-end to the mid-range, Performer-Plus camshafts match with Performer manifolds for vehicles operating from off-idle to 5500 rpm. They are smooth idling cams for daily drivers, trucks, vans, RVs and 4x4s. You can expect a major improvement in throttle response and torque. In the manifold section you'll find torque graphs showing the power gains from Performer manifolds and Performer-Plus cams. All camshafts include flat tappet lifters (except for cams designed for use with stock roller lifters), assembly lube and instructions.• Make sure the vehicle is on level ground and supported properly. Drain engine oil and coolant, storing them inappropriate containers or disposing of them properly• After getting access to the front of the engine, remove the serpentine accessory drive belt• Remove the water pump• Remove the distributor• Loosen the oil pan bolts enough to pull the oil pan away from the engine slightly to provide clearance for removing the timing cover• Remove the intake manifold and the oil pump drive shaft bolt and assembly• Remove the valve covers, remove the rocker arm nuts and pivot balls.• Rotate the engine so that the timing marks on the timing chain are in line• Remove the camshaft retaining plate and carefully remove the camshaft• There is a pin that puts the distributor in proper time that is inserted into the camshaft• Liberally coat the new Performer-Plus camshaft journals and lobes with clean engine oil• Replace the camshaft retaining plate and tighten the bolts to the factory specification• Replace the timing chain and camshaft sprocket• Coat the lifters with clean engine oil• Install the pushrods and rocker arms• Install the valve covers
