Sledgehammer® crankshafts are the perfect foundation for a budget minded engine build. Forged from 4340 non-twist steel, this line of durable Lunati cranks feature a special Nitride heat treatment, sonic cleaning, and micro-polishing for added insurance in performance street engines and mild race applications. Each crankshaft incorporates many premium features normally found on high end race crankshafts, such as drilled lightening holes in the pin arms to reduce reciprocating mass.

Lunati Pro Series™ forged crankshafts are top of the line units, manufactured from the highest quality 4340 certified steel. Our 4340 steel forgings meet aircraft quality standards for material cleanliness and purity. Every crank is American forged, American machined and quality checked to meet our exact specifications including: a shaft surface finish of grade 5 RMS or better, journal radii are ground to .140 inch, roundness of each journal is .0001 inch or less and each rod journal is drilled with a 7/8 inch or 3/4 inch lightening hole to reduce the inertia weight of the crankshaft. The Pro Series™ by Lunati is engineered with high performance street and all-out race engines in mind.
Pro Series™ Crankshafts have been successfully used in 1,500+ hp applications.

Engineered specifically for the Hooters® Cup series utilizing a stroke of 3.480 inch, 2.000 inch rod journals and 350 mains. The leading edge of the crank is bull-nosed and the trailing edge of the counterweights are squared. All counterweights will clear a 5.700 inch rod length. All four journals are lightened for faster acceleration and less rotating mass. Available rough or finished balanced, the Lunati Hooter Cup Series cranks meet the 50 lb. rule while giving you great performance and durability.

Lunati engineers designed the NASCAR® rule series cranks to make it easy for stock car series racers requiring crank weights in the 50 lbs. range. These cranks are available rough or finished balanced to your bob weight. In addition these crankshafts have the rear of the counterweight squared, all rod journals are drilled and the counterweight heights will accommodate a 5.700 inch RL. The benefits of this advanced design is faster acceleration with superior oil control.

The Alecular material used in Lunati bearings allows a high degree of conformability over other race bearings, whether you are use steel or aluminum rods. Imbedability is four times greater than other bearings, plus they will not flake. The fatigue point of Alecular material is 1100 degrees fahrenheit, while babbitt overlay is only 400 degrees fahrenheit. Thickness tolerancing is held (0.0001), making Lunati bearings an excellent choice for road racing, oval track and drag racing. Lunati Alecular racing bearings are chamfered to fit Lunati crankshafts.
